Entering the historic Canal Park Playhouse is like taking a step back in time. Their Spook Show which is has been extended until May 22nd is presented on Tuesdays at 7pm.
This performance is not for die-hard horror fans. It is a family friendly romp with the occult. It is a perfect way to introduce children or easily frightened adults to illusion and 'spooky entertainment.'
The Spook Show stars Cardone the Magician, a vaudeville-style magician, ventriloquist, and escape artist, who works hard to keep the audience entertained. A highlight is the menacing guillotine that never leaves the stage. The show runs a bit long at 90min with an odd 3 minute intermission, but for the timid horror fan this show packs a big punch.
